The Affective Disorders Center of UNC is proud to announce the opening of the Treatment-Resistant Depression Program of Conner Drive. This program brings together nationally recognized experts in the assessment and treatment of depression and other mood disorders that have proved unresponsive to conventional therapy. Comprehensive consultations can be scheduled at the UNC Faculty Practice at Conner Drive.
Christine Peat, PhD
Dr. Peat is a licensed psychologist in North Carolina and as such, treats eating disorders across the spectrum, with a primary focus on binge eating. Her primary expertise is in working with college students and adults who are seeking outpatient therapy for eating disorders, and she enjoys working with individuals across a diversity of race/ethnicity, sexual orientation, and cultural identity. Dr. Peat also has expertise in treating depression and anxiety in adults. In addition, she conducts pre-surgical evaluations for patients seeking bariatric surgery and as such has expertise in diagnosing and treating eating pathology after weight loss surgery.
